In mid-2002, Mie came out with her first picture book (a staple of the Japanese idol) in ten years called "Future Lady: Mothership", a lavish, full color photo book displaying Mie in all her glory, featuring some rather dazzling costumes and scenery. Mind you, we're not talking about some fresh faced, 20-something nymph as is the case with the bulk of these picture books produced in Japan, rather a gorgeous and sophisticated FORTY-FIVE year old woman who's at the absolute peak of her beauty and glamour. Oh, there's also a companion video to this book that's supposedly out. If I ever get my hands on that, you'll be the first to know!! After ordering the book from PhotoGuide Japan and oohing and ahhing over all the great pictures of Mie-chan, I chose a sweet sixteen of my favorites for this special feature, broken down into four separate pages for your viewing enjoyment. And I think you'll get a real kick out of seeing Mie as you've never seen her before!
