Just for fun, and informational purposes, I thought I'd include this charming little tidbit for your consideration. Wa-a-a-a-a-ay back in 1976 when Mie and Kei's handlers at T & C Music decided to name their brand new act "Pink Lady", it wasn't just something they dreamed up out of thin air, no sir, the girls were named after a cocktail by the same name. While it was reported that the girls didn't like the name at first, they quickly came to embrace it, and the rest, as the old saying goes, was history. Ahh, but what IS a pink lady? Well, below is the actual recipe for the drink which I found on the Internet. Since I don't indulge in alcohol, I have no idea what it's like, though I've read that it's very sweet, just like our beloved Mie-chan and Kei-chan! So, if you're curious and wanna whip one up, feel free to use the recipe and let me know what it's like! But remember, never, EVER drink and drive! It ain't cool! Bottoms up! 2 oz gin 1 tsp grenadine 1 tsp lime juice 1/2 oz cream 1 egg white Using a shaker filled with ice, combine all ingredients, shake well, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. |
