As Pink Lady fans are well aware, in 1984, Pink Lady came out with their first new album since their historic farewell concert three years earlier, “Pink Lady Again: Suspense” which I discussed in depth back in September, the 25th anniversary of its release. Now, what I’m sure U.S. fans of the Ladies didn’t know about was that Mie and Kei starred in a video release on LaserDisc (remember that?) that came out after the release of the album called “Pink Lady: Now in Los Angeles” which featured Mie and Kei back in L.A. for what I’m guessing was the first time since they taped in the forever infamous Pink Lady and Jeff back in 1980. The special basically saw the Ladies doing the sightseeing thing throughout L.A., visiting different venues like UCLA, Rodeo Drive and other places while songs from “Suspense” played in the background, a travelogue as it were. Nothing fancy or extravagant, mind you, just Mie and Kei having fun and enjoying the sights of Southern California’s most famous city and environs, something I thought was really cool. For this feature, I’ve culled 100 stills from the special, ten pics each for all ten songs from “Suspense” for everyone to enjoy. |
